If society collapses, it will do so because politicians, writers and priests exploit - for entirely selfish ends - people’s real concerns. These men are our enemies.
You've missed out the most obvious enemy - Sir Kier and his Labour party. They are quite clearly waiting to exploit any opportunity they can for greater control and centralisation of power in their own hands
Maybe I largely agree but your complaints seem a bit too absolute.
Do we want lead in our gasoline and paint?
Do we want smoking on airplanes?
Should we allow minors to freely buy alcohol?
Is corporal punishment acceptable?
Does it matter what comes out of a smokestack?
Maybe we can't agree on everything I list but there's no doubt that a list exists that virtually everyone would agree. We need those restrictions. The question becomes at what point does not enough "adequately informed" people agree.
Other than the mistaken idea that young men gambling on sports is a problem the rest of your concerns weren't mentioned by me. I'm not agin legslising dope but this k mistokaces have done it wrongly and decriminalising drugs is a very poor solution. But public health doesn't invest its efforts in these things it chooses instead to tut about you being too fat, having cherry flavoured vapes and sugary fizzy drinks. Maybe Yanks need to stop being such puritans I dunno?
It's a shame you chose to personalise the problems by naming politicians, rather than allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions. When you personalise criticisms, you alienate some/most readers. Some/most will take umbrage for the decision to leave Kemi or Nigel off the list, whilst Zac made it onto the list.

Here endth the first lesson.
We have seen the enemy, and he is us!

"Our enemy is the public health officer who wants to ban gambling, vaping, drinking and the humble hamburger."
Sorry, but I don't consider these people my enemy. Legalization of online gambling has been a colossal failure.

Drug decriminalization has been a failure:

My ally isn't vice merchants who thrive on destroying people who then become criminals and welfare sponges.

Interesting piece.

That said, this was well worth a read.
