Really enjoyed this, and agree on the focus on economics is harming conservatives - we feel it's much safer ground, so we've accepted the principle of Belloc's Servile State. As you point out we have a huge depth of not just philosophers but writers we can draw from, and the way conservatives conduct themselves their politics is pretty poor return for such a rich intellectual tradition.
